HELCO SSPP TMK
Information updated October 2021:
Being easy to do business with is something we’re continually striving for at Hawaiian Electric. That’s why we’re excited to share a major improvement in our process for the Special Subdivision Project Provisions (SSPP) subdivision areas.
Checking for Power Availability
In an effort to make the process of checking for power availability much simpler, we’ve created a list that easily identifies the 41 SSPP subdivisions or areas across our service territory. Going forward, please reference this list to determine if your property or project is within one of these SSPP locations. The SSPP program is solely for overhead facilities at the road, so if a property is served by underground facilities at the road, it is not part of the SSPP program, and as such you do not need to check with Hawaiian Electric.

If the property is within an SSPP Subdivision or area, please submit the online form: Request for Power Availability or SSPP Information Form (PDF)
- We will notify you if there are any monies owed on the SSPP shared cost
- If no poles are fronting the property, we will determine power availability to the subject property.
How to submit the online form:
- Please use Internet Explorer to complete and submit the Request for Power Availability or SSPP Information Form (PDF).
- If you are unable to use Internet Explorer, you may complete, save and email the PDF form to PowerCheckHawaiiIsland@hawaiianelectric.com.
If you have any questions about the SSPP Program, please call (808) 969-0365.
