Budget & Finance Committee
Oversees the finances of the Association.
Fair Housing Committee
To educate members of State and Federal Fair Housing requirements and conduct at least one event per year (preferably in April) to remind members and public of the National Fair Housing Act.
Personnel Committee
To create and review personnel policies for approval by the Board of Directors, conduct an annual review of the Executive Officer, ensure staff reviews are completed by Executive Officer and to provide a method for staff to report concerns regarding the Executive Officer.
Principal Brokers Committee
To plan and implement events and meetings designed to provide managing brokers with current issues and policies that affect their business.
Professional Standards & Arbitration Committee
Responsible for enforcement of the Code of Ethics through conduction of ethics and arbitration hearings.
Strategic Planning Committee
To review the Association’s strategic plan and ensure policies have budgetary support.

Building Committee
Responsible for care and upkeep of HIR’s Office Building at 1321 Kinoole Street. Including planning for future repairs and renovations and office rental units. Responsible for budgetary planning of capital improvement projects and repairs. Responsible to plan for and prepare a three year reserve study.
Caravan Committee
To help increase participation and plan weekly East Hawai`i Caravans.
Education Committee
To help evaluate and select educational programs.
Government Affairs Committee
To participate in local governmental meetings and provide testimony when necessary.
Grievance Committee
To investigate complaints from public and members and determine if it has merit to warrant an ethics or arbitration hearing.
Member Services Committee
To create and evaluate products and services for members.
Programs Committee
To formulate ideas and plan events for members.
Public Relations Committee
To improve of REALTOR® image and involvement in the community, plan fundraising events for local community associations, and create press releases.
Technology Committee
To evaluate current MLS, Lockbox and other technology products.
Green Real Estate Action Team (G.R.E.A.T.) Committee
To promote and facilitate the adoption of green technology and sustainable practices within the real estate industry for the State of Hawaii through education and volunteer events.
Young Professionals Network Committee
Connecting, empowering, and engaging young (and young at heart) real estate professionals.
